The 3rd APRU Provosts’ Forum was hosted by the University of Washington on March 23 to 25, 2016 in Seattle, Washington.
Themed “Innovations in Teaching and Learning”, the 2016 Forum highlighted and demonstrated innovation in teaching and learning – examining research, sharing best practices and engaging with new tools.
To highlight the theme of innovation, program sessions will use a “flipped classroom” approach rather than lecture-style presentations. Session facilitators will briefly introduce research or case studies, then ask questions that promote lively discussion.
The Forum “course website” offers session materials and resources. This “flipped classroom” approach will model innovative institutional change around teaching and learning and leverage the expertise of participating university leaders.
