Esports Workshop: How to Run Engaging Events for Gaming Clubs

Students across APRU are encouraged to attend this student-led workshop which shares the secret to initiating successful Esports programs at universities. They will explore questions such as: What does it take to host a game or tournament? What are the best practices for securing sponsorships? How do you create an experience that raises interest and commitment for the long term?  Attend this workshop to understand gaming events and their importance to a budding gaming scene at any university and learn adaptations that can be taken during COVID-19. Students from UCLA share their perspective of running club events and tournaments and also share experiences in Esports from collegiate all the way up to the Pro Circuit. All APRU students and student leaders invited to attend and join the conversation.

Cathy Ge is the Director of UCLA Esports and a junior student majoring in Economics at UCLA! Cathy is incredible passionate about competitive operations and collegiate esports. Besides her work at UCLA, she also administrates tournaments for Tespa (Blizzard’s college subsidiary) and works as an observer for Blizzard. Cathy’s favorite games are COD: Warzone and League of Legends.
