Call for Participation: Our Ocean Youth Leadership Summit

Our Ocean, Our Legacy Youth Leadership Summit
October 29-30, 2018 in Bali, Indonesia

The youth summit is a parallel event to the ‘Our Ocean’ Conference 2018 co-hosted by the Indonesian Ministry of Marine Affairs and Fisheries (MMAF), Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Indonesia and Sustainable Ocean Alliance. It will bring together high-level ocean leaders who will interact with student participants, facilitate breakout sessions, and provide youth with insights for their ocean projects and commitments.

The application is open to students and young professionals ages 18-35 who have an action-oriented ocean commitment. Eligible candidates should apply online before August 17 2018 11:59 pm PST.

The 200 winners will have the opportunity to join Sustainable Ocean Alliance’s global youth network and attend the upcoming Our Ocean, Our Legacy Youth Leadership Summit.

By attending the summit, participants will:
1. Become an #SOAYouth Leader and join our global community represented in over 50 countries
2. Network with today’s top leaders and high-level representatives in the ocean space
3. Receive expert mentorship and develop professional skill sets
4. Discover the unique challenges facing Bali and how the local community is addressing them
5. Meet with entrepreneurs who are building scalable ocean-focused startups
6. Join the main Our Ocean conference on the 2nd day of the event
