Full-time undergraduate students, except final year students in 2022–23, from all disciplines currently registered at an APRU member university are welcome.

Have a good command of English.

Each APRU member university may nominate up to five students for the programme. Students should check with their home institutions for the nomination procedure.

Number of Participants: 60 undergraduate students from across APRU member universities

Programme Activities

  • Lectures and workshops by academics, industry experts and NGO leaders
  • Field trips to learn about sustainability efforts in Hong Kong
  • Group projects to design innovative solutions to complex issues of sustainability in the Pacific Rim
  • Eye-opening and fun-filled cultural activities to immerse in the local culture
  • Social activities to make friends with peers from around the world

Scholarship: Up to 10 scholarships of HK$8,000 (US$1,020) will be offered to each selected student.

Certificate: A certificate will be issued to each participant upon successful completion of the programme.

USD$550 (HK$4,350)

The provisions include the following:

  • Visa application (TBC)
  • On-campus accommodation on shared room basis
  • Most meals
  • Programme materials
  • Programme activities and excursions

The following expenses are not covered by the programme:

  • International travels
  • Personal travel insurance
  • Other personal expenses

Step 1: Students are nominated by their APRU member universities to apply for the programme.

Step 2: Nominated students should submit the online application form with the following documents by 28 February 2023:

  • Latest academic transcript
  • Copy of the identification/particulars page of the passport
  • Copy of proof of English proficiency (Only for students from a university where English is not the primary language of instruction)

Step 3: Successful applicants will be notified via email in early April 2023.

Step 4: Successful applicants should confirm their acceptance and make payment for the programme fee by mid-April 2023. They should then apply for a student visa.
